When I think of having a sandwich I often think of having a BLT. Yep, a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich – toasted of course! I love them because they are easy to make, I usually have the ingredients and I can eat them anytime, even when it’s cold outside or during hot weather.
The only equipment I need to make a BLT is a frypan for the bacon and a toaster to toast my bread. However, I can also use the frypan to toast bread if I am out camping.
What are the Ingredients to make a BLT?
As the name suggests the ingredients required to make a BLT are bacon, lettuce, tomato and bread. And if I have it, I usually add a little mayonnaise for flavour.
What Utensils do you need to make a BLT?
The utensils required to make a BLT are a fry pan to fry the bacon, and to toast the bread. Or you can use a toaster if you have one available. You will also need tongs to turn your bacon while cooking, or use a fork, if you don’t have tongs.
How do you make a BLT?
To make a BLT is easy. Simply cook your bacon. While it is cooking, toast your bread. On your toast put lettuce and tomato and maybe a little mayonnaise. When bacon is cooked to your liking, add on top of bacon and lettuce and put the top of the toast on. Cut in half and serve! Easy peasy.
BLT - Bacon Lettuce Tomato Sandwich
Ingredients
- 2x slices bread
- 2x pieces of bacon
- 2x slices of tomato
- lettuce
- squeeze of Mayonnaise
Instructions
- Put bacon on to cook
- While bacon is cooking toast your bread
- On one slice of toast add lettuce, tomato and a squeeze of Mayonnaise
- Add bacon and put other slice of toast on top
- Cut in half and serve
