Shortcut Meals

The recipes on this page use shortcuts. Basically not all the ingredients are fresh. What I mean is, the recipes use pre-made items available at the supermarket. The pre-made items are then added to fresh ingredients to make an easy, cheap, fast and fabulous meal.

Pre-made items can include (but not limited to) pre-made meat items such as meatballs. Then there are bottles of pasta sauce and packets of flavoured rice. And don’t forget pre-mixed herbs and spices to flavour your taco mince or curry chicken. Purchasing and using pre-made food items are great for saving time when cooking so are a great option to make when travelling.

Note: Even though pre-made ingredients can save time, be careful of high sodium, sugar and fat content. Eating too much of these aren’t great for your health but are required in pre-made foods to extend their shelf life.
